About
Thanks for checking out my blog. It’s not a typical “mommy blog”. Most of this genre are written by moms of babies & toddlers who recently left the workforce to spend more time at home and they’re sharing ideas about raising kids. That’s not me.
First of all, I’ve made plenty of mistakes raising my kids. You are entitled to make your own mistakes so you won’t get much direction from me. [Maybe an opinion from time to time. Know in advance, I have no formal training; only life experience. If you can, find a less painful way.]
I’m a mother of 4, teens and young adults. I’m a journalist and a manager by training. For more than 2 decades, television was my life. Not the set, the programming. I was a reporter, hosted an entertainment program, ran TV newsrooms in Cincinnati, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Hartford and Orlando. I’m an explorer at heart. I love to see new places, meet new people and learn new things. And I like to share. So, this blog seemed like a great idea when proposed by my daughter and her friend.
They are like your kids. They’re living in two worlds: analog and digital.
I won’t be left behind as my kids explore new & exciting places. I won’t let fear, or lack of techno-savvy limit me. I want a digital life. And most importantly, I want a digital life that compliments and enriches my physical life, not not make me a recluse or develop a secret identity. Come along. Because most of all, I want some “friends” in my digital life.
